Yorkshire Day, Industrial Archaeology Train & Walk

Join us at the EHR to find the hidden gems of our Industrial Heritage.. The intenerary is below for what will be a fascinating day, not just for our customers - but for the volunteers too !

There will be an afternoon train hauled by Gervase departing at 2pm  - stopping at the various Industrial Archaeology sites along the line.

This will be followed by a walk to the long lost Forge Lane Drift.

There will be informative guides and speakers throughout the afternoon event to explain the history and future plans for all the sites.

Meet at the railway office on the platform by 1 pm. Good footwear and clothing is advisable for those attending the walk to the drift mine.

Normal fares apply for the train journey.
